About your new role

You will be working within our Information Systems department who offer a wide range of services including computing and network support, delivery and support regarding IT equipment, specialist software and services and networking support.

The successful candidate must possess a good knowledge of the .NET platform and Microsoft Stack technologies, having used them to develop, maintain and support enterprise standard solutions both in a team and alone.

This role should be filled by a web developer with previous experience in a similar role. It is essential that the successful candidate be enthusiastic about the technologies being used and they possess a desire to learn how to use these appropriately in an enterprise environment.

This role is being offered nationwide with the opportunity for the candidate to work across any of our Weightmans offices. The candidate will work 2 days within the office and 3 days from home. On occasion, the candidate may be required to travel to the Liverpool office.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To become part of the Business Solutions Team developing software components and maintaining existing systems as part of a team or on their own
  • Follow standards and procedures to produce consistent measurable results
  • Develop solutions and software within an Agile and ISO 270001 software development environment
  • Be proactive in identifying and resolving potential issues before they become incidents

About You

As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of C#
  • Excellent knowledge of the .NET Core and .NET Framework
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL based databases
  • Knowledge of SQL Server (T-SQL)
  • Good Knowledge of Azure services
  • Good knowledge of Visual Studio (latest version)
  • Awareness of OWASP
  • Knowledge of standards for web development such as HTML5 & CSS
  • Knowledge of frontend development technologies JavaScript/jQuery
  • Awareness of UI frameworks such as Vue / Angular
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and test-driven development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to identify risk, evaluate impact and produce appropriate solutions, or escalate as necessary
  • Excellent deadline and personal time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to rollout solutions that are well tested and meet the needs of the end users
  • Can work with other members of staff when additional resource is required on projects
  • Awareness of ISO27001 would be an advantage
