Responsibilities:
1. Work with clients or project stakeholders to determine their website's requirements, goals, and target audience.
2. Using design software or tools, create website design concepts, mockups, wireframes, and prototypes.
3. Create visually appealing and user-friendly website layouts using appropriate colour schemes, typography, and images.
4. Ensure that the website design is responsive and works with a variety of devices and screen sizes.
5. Use front-end web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to turn design ideas into working online pages.
6. By optimising images, code, and other design elements, websites can perform better and load pages faster.
7. Carry out user experience (UX) research to learn more about user behaviour and preferences, and incorporate the findings into the design process.
8. Work with web developers, content creators, and other team members to ensure the design's successful execution.
9. Run usability tests and collect feedback to improve the website's design and user experience.
10. Stay current with web design trends, methodologies, and best practises, and use them to improve design quality and innovation.
11. 11. Regularly maintain, update, and debug the website to ensure optimal performance and address any design flaws.
12. Present design thoughts, ideas, and strategies to clients or project stakeholders.
13. Adhere to web design industry standards and best practises, such as accessibility requirements, SEO principles, and cross-browser compatibility.
14. Manage several projects and effectively prioritise work to fulfil project deadlines.
Qualifications:
I. Proven job experience as a web designer or in a related function to work efficiently.
II. Expertise in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or equivalent tools.
III. Thorough understanding of front-end web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
IV. Check that the website's design is responsive and suitable for various screens and devices.
V. Use front-end web development tools like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to convert design ideas into useful web pages.
VI. Improve the functionality and loading times of your website by optimising the pictures, code, and other design components.
VII. Carry out user experience (UX) research to comprehend user preferences and behaviour and incorporate results into the design process.
VIII. Work together with web designers, content producers, and other team members to make sure the design is implemented successfully.
IX. To enhance the user experience and website design, do usability testing and receive feedback. Constant learning and a proactive mindset to stay current on industry developments and innovations.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
