AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Water Resources Planning Engineer to be based in Seattle, WA.
This position is expected to begin in August 2023.
- Preparation, planning, and analysis/review of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and climate resiliency technical studies
- Water supply resiliency planning studies and projects
- Watershed and Flood Prevention Operations Investigation Studies and Reports
- Safe yield analyses and water withdrawal permitting support
- EIS and NEPA documents, and similar reports/document
- Stakeholder engagement and public involvement for water resources engineering projects
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of relevant water resources related experience
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam
- Proven experience in hydrologic and hydraulic and climate resiliency analysis
- Experience and familiarity with design and modeling software (e.g. ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, HEC-ResSim, Riverware)
- Excellent report writing and ability to clearly present complex technical information visually and orally to a wide audience
- Ability to coordinate, liaise, and engage with clients and key stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving and research skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Seattle only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $110,000.
