Start Salary: £14,472 per annum (with salary increases every 3 months at the discretion of line manager, subject to performance and successful completion of all segments of the training programme)

Fully Qualified Salary: Circa £32,000

What is a Networks Technician Apprentice?

Our Network Technicians work out and about in a van maintaining the local water network and supporting our customers. This can range from checking for leaks, dealing with planned and emergency interruptions to our water networks (e.g burst water mains), all whilst delivering exceptional customer service to the local community.

As a Water Networks Apprentice, you’ll train to become a fully qualified Network Technician within our Water Services team. As part of your apprenticeship, you will spend 24 months training and learning. This will be through a mixture of classroom study (1 week every month), and the rest of the time there will be on-the-job training with a mentor as you work towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship standard.

To be successful as an Anglian Water Apprentice you will require:

Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;

Predicted Maths & English GCSE (grade A-C or 9-4) OR;

Proof of enrolment onto Level 2 Maths & English Functional Skills

An enthusiastic nature, a willingness to learn & team spirit

A passion for practical work, the great outdoors and exceptional customer service

As well as the above, you will need a full UK driving license (or be able to obtain one in the first 9 months of being successful on the apprenticeship scheme) along with living within a 30-minute radius of the advertised area, or within the circumference of the area the Apprentice will cover.
