Position Overview
The Watch & Jewellery Supervisor is the ultimate brand ambassador and liaison to the Watches & Fine Jewellery businesses to both customers and colleagues alike. The Watch & Fine Jewellery supervisor is responsible for upholding the highest standards as it pertains to the brand presentation, product knowledge, and after sales service. The W&J Supervisor must be able to flex between facilitating operational functions and ensuring our customers’ experiences are seamless. The W&J Supervisor takes a proactive approach to supporting customer, manager, store, and company initiatives that ensure product and processes are handled and executed in accordance with company operational and customer service policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly administer or support the Watch & Fine Jewellery Manager and colleagues with all after sales service needs for W&J. This includes but is not limited to changing watch straps; repair management; and communication & execution of standing departmental policies.
- Execute regular cycle and piece counts as stipulated by Store Operations and Asset Protection partners
- Execute and support all W&J special orders and requests
- Support all duties and responsibilities as it pertains to product movement (e.g. transfers, consolidations, etc.), including handling all merchandise coming in and going out of the store to ensure no damages, as well as adherence to the Ralph Lauren Brand and presentation standards.
- Ensure all packages leaving the building are packaged correctly in relation to defined brand standards and including all necessary paperwork and operational tasks are executed effectively.
- Support operational effectiveness of the selling floor through participation of stock areas and product movement to and from the selling floor
- Ensure necessary level of essential departmental supplies is always maintained to support the business to identify and procure essential selling tools.
- Ensure a seamless customer experience by providing support to selling and service personnel and management in all needs from the shipping and receiving department and back of house areas, including researching missing packages, providing tracking on shipments, locating product in the store, and supporting other service initiatives as needed.
- Uphold all sales and service policies in support of store policy evolutions and objectives defined by store leadership, including ensuring all operational transactions are executed in accordance with SOPs and policies.
- Support store operational tasks and initiatives, such as omni-channel inventory allocation, merchandise changeovers, floor recovery, and operational strategy rollouts, where needed.
- Support compliance by effectively and efficiently supporting merchandise allocation, accurate processing, and adherence to brand packaging standards – this includes RLE returns
- Support pristine room and product maintenance by partnering with management and colleagues on execution to standards
- Executes the floor presentation responsibilities including opening/closing the W&J salon by setting up and putting away high value merchandise
- Verifies daily piece counts and communicates effectively to relevant management, Asset Protection team, and reports any inventory discrepancies to appropriate parties when necessary.
- Supports and coaches' sales team to ensure elevated level of customer experience is always upheld.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
- Strong W&J technical skills, and knowledge of the current industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with store employees, store leadership, and business partners
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Extremely detail oriented.
- Collaborative team player willing to partner with and support all departments
- Demonstrated passion and affinity for the Ralph Lauren brand and desire to grow within the company
