Job description
In this role you will work as part of an experienced team who are responsible for ensuring that we meet our responsibilities in protecting the environment. You will monitor and maintain processes within the site and ensure that all relevant recording and reporting is completed. You will also operate and adjust processes in response to the results of samples and tests undertaken and ensure regular maintenance is undertaken to enable optimum operation of the site.
Essential Skills and Experience Required
- Have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be confident to work on your own, taking responsibility for ensuring regular tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient way.
- Have a strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately record information and to spot changes in monitoring records which may need addressed.
- Have strong problem solving skills and a dedication to find a solution to any issues that arise within the site.
- Have experience or an understanding of working within a strong Health & Safety culture to ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Be a quick learner, with the ability to use new computer systems and on-line learning modules which are essential to the role.
- Be a strong team player, who can work well with others to achieve common goals.
You will be required to work in a challenging physical environment where you are routinely exposed to adverse conditions such as dirt, water and odours. You will be frequently exposed to controlled hazards such as gas, chemicals and raw sewage and work in confined spaces. Full training and protection will be provided to enable you work in this environment.
You must have a full current UK driving licence, and you will be required to participate in an out of hour’s standby rota.
