Are you ready to hit the road and make a positive impact on the environment? Easywaste is seeking dedicated Recycling Service Operators to join our commercial waste collection team in Glasgow, Scotland. If you like to be out on the road and have experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you.

We currently have multiple vacancies, including:

  • full-time
  • part-time (Monday-Friday)
  • weekend
  • Friday-Monday (26 hours)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and operate collection vehicles for the pickup of commercial waste in and around Glasgow, Scotland.
  • Provide excellent customer service during waste collection.
  • Follow a pre-planned route of multiple customer sites per day, removing commercial waste streams.
  • Load and unload drums and containers onto and from your vehicle.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and customers to meet customer requirements.
  • Utilise hand-held tablets and CRM to manage your schedule and workload.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Work comfortably in various weather conditions and environments.
  • Hold a valid driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Ideally, have experience driving 3.5-tonne vehicles.

Additional Requirements:

  • The role involves following a scheduled weekly collection run with the addition of call-in basis jobs for picking up various recycling materials.
  • Applicants must hold a current UK full driving license.
  • A minimum of 2 years of driving experience with knowledge of Glasgow City center and the surrounding area.

  • Competitive starting salary, beginning from £22,500 per year plus uncapped commission OTE £35,000, with performance-based incentives.
