Job description

As part of our rapidly expanding family business, we have a vacancy for a reliable, experienced warehouse operative. Working within our team as a Warehouse Operative, the successful applicant will join this busy food distribution company, supplying a range of ambient packaged food to trade customers.

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor, our team of warehouse operatives are responsible for stock efficiency, accurately picking and loading daily orders within a given time frame.

DUTIES

• Stock management within the warehouse, moving stock manually, using LLOP trucks and also forklift trucks
• Picking and loading cases of products for daily delivery to all customers
• Unpack and replenish new stock entering the warehouse
• Process paperwork as required
• Assist in stock takes
• Other general warehouse duties

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience of working within a warehouse, distribution, or similar environment would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
• Experience of using LLOP trucks and forklift trucks an advantage
• Methodical nature with good attention to detail and quality
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Be a good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Flexible approach to working

Pay rate dependent upon age and experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £10.42 per hour

• warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Fork Lift licence (preferred)
