Warehouse Operative – Shoal
Location: Waltham Cross, Herts
Salary: £12.10 (£25,168pa)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week (excluding breaks)
Shifts: 10am-7pm. Any 5 out of 7 days (including Sunday's)
Shoal is a subsidiary of Reynolds Catering Supplies that deliver new standards of freshness, convenience and quality for the fish and seafood industry, Supplying 5-star hotels and Michelin star chefs across the UK.
The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking, and ambitious person to join our fish packaging operation in Waltham Cross, operating on a shift pattern of 10am-7pm on any 5 out of 7 days (including Sunday working).
Key Responsibilities of each role:
· Assist in the packing of all fish and meat products produced.
· Operate machinery and equipment as required (training provided)
· Carry out a variety of cleaning duties as required.
· Minimising wastage
· Produce excellent quality packed products safely and efficiently to meet our customer and technical standard.
· Always comply with the food and hygiene requirements
· Attention to detail and accuracy with all tasks.
· Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the factory environment.
· Be responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines.
· Perform other Operative duties as required.
Please note the role requires you to work in an ambient and chilled environment of a temperature of 3°c - 5°c, but not to worry – we will provide you with the necessary uniform, PPE, and equipment to keep you warm!
The successful candidate will possess the below skills, experience, and qualities:
- Previous Warehouse experience is desirable.
- Previous production/picking line experience would be an advantage.
- The ability to work methodically and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to load and unload goods (manual handling).
