PRJ Distribution are a well-established family run business based in Shoreham-By-Sea. We distribute high quality decorating tools to the UK and Ireland.
As PRJ continues to grow, we are now looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team and help us fulfil this growing demand.
About the job:
As a Warehouse Operative you will be responsible for ensuring all warehouse stock is stored safely and delivered on time without damage. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
· Receiving deliveries of goods and supplies
· Checking for damaged or missing items and sorting stock for storage
· Storing goods in a safe and tidy manner
· Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear and/or a forklift truck
· Picking orders from storage space and preparing for packing or distribution
· Packing orders and labelling cartons
· Keeping records of stock on warehouse management system
· Keeping paperwork filed and up to date
· Ensuring work areas are clean and unobstructed
· Adhering to Health and Safety standards at all times
· Working hours: 30 hours/week - Tuesday-Thursday
· 3 months probationary period
About you:
The successful applicant for Warehouse Operative will preferably have:
· Experience in a similar role preferred - but not essential as training given
· A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
· Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
· Certification in Health and Safety
· Basic PC (Computer) skills – training will be given in using our stock control system
· Use of forklift (if no current license - PRJ to cover cost of Training)
· Excellent communication skills
· Good numerical skills
· Physical labour is a job requirement
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 30 per week
Salary: £10.42 per hour
