Role Overview
We are seeking Yard & Warehouse support staff, in the Essex area, covering at various Essex branches, working predominantly at the branches listed below:
Brentwood, Harold Hill and Romford
Due to working at various branches successful candidates will require a valid driving licence, as well as ideally having previous Fork Lift truck experience.
This is a unique opportunity to work across our region, providing relief cover and support, than often leads to full time permanent role in a branch.
Monday to Fridays, alternate Saturday mornings.
Job Description
The successful candidate with be working as support for business growth, holiday cover, or absence, and working as part of a branch customer service team, serving our collecting customers with building materials, and loading/unloading vehicles, working in the yard/warehouse, depending on where support is required. The first month will be based from one branch to be trained on our systems and processes.
Main Purpose of the Job:
Yard Activities
Serving customer who are collecting materials in a friendly, efficient and safe manor
Loading/unloading of vehicles using a FLT, both our own and suppliers
Clean and tidy the yard to include perimeter checks as necessary
Check incoming goods against suppliers delivery note
Assign materials to the proper yard location
Records all materials leaving the yard
Maintain and merchandise the yard stock
Willing to perform any duties as may be deemed necessary or as may be required by the Company
Operating lift truck and Combi Lift Carry out daily FLT checks
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, to include the company Dress Code Policy, Standards of Performance Policy and Health and Safety Policy
Skills and Qualities
Valid Driving Licence
