Job Description

The primary responsibility of the warehouse worker is to perform the warehouse work in an efficient and safe manner. This position will be responsible for receiving, sorting, storing, and shipping materials according to company guidelines. The warehouse worker will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:
·Receive products from vendors and verify the accuracy of receipt by comparing product to purchase order.
·Sort received products by type; checking for damage, shortages, etc.
·Maintain cleanliness of warehouse by sweeping, mopping, etc.
·Assist other departments where necessary as needed.
·Maintain equipment by following pre-set operating instructions, cleaning as needed, and performing routine maintenance as needed.
·Operate computerised electronic hand tools in a safe manner as required.
·Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
·Able to read and understand written English in order to follow instructions in written documents and respond to phone messages in written format in order to provide customer service in written format.
·Able to read and interpret physical manifests and purchase orders in order to process material for shipment as required.
Identify any discrepancies between the bill and the actual bill received from the customer.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.50 per hour
