The Opportunity

Kite Packaging have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Warehouse Operative to join their Warehouse team at their Portsmouth site. You will be joining our Portsmouth Distribution Centre which consists of warehouse, customer services, purchasing and sales teams. Our distribution centres play a huge part in the business growth strategy through offering first class expertise to help its customer base reduce their total packaging costs.

Standard working hours are 08:00am-18:00pm Monday-Friday

The role of Senior Warehouse Operative:

Duties will specifically cover the following areas:

  • Picking sales orders accurately ensuring targets are met
  • Use of barcode scanning handheld devices to record goods in, picking and product movements
  • Assisting with additional dispatch, goods in and loading tasks
  • Wrap, secure and accurately label finished goods
  • Loading vehicles with finished product
  • Keep the warehouse safe and tidy to look for ways of optimising utilisation of space
  • Ensure no errors are made in shipments

Key Skills and Operational Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Be able to demonstrate ownership and knowledge of Goods In/Out
  • Previous experience in fast paced Warehouse environment is essential
  • Forklift experience (preferably Pivot Steer)
