This position is being offered on a full time basis of 37.5 hours per week with a rate of pay up to £10.42 per hour.
Working as our Warehouse Assistant, your duties will include:
- Making sure deliveries are received and booked in correctly using our PDA device and internal WinRetail system
- Ensuring the right goods are stored in the right places at the right time
- Moving stock around by hand, using lifting gear and counterbalance forklift trucks
- Planning and implementing stock layout
- Raising supplier notifications and discrepancy forms
- Arranging supplier uplifts for damaged stock, liaising with external suppliers and our accounts department
- Assisting with store wide stock takes
- Keeping internal and external work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Daily sweeping on the customer carpark using forklift
- Maintaining high levels of safety standards and following Rosebourne procedures
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Planning and organisational skills
- The ability to use lifting and handling aids safely
- Communication skills and excellent customer service
- Enthusiasm, a helpful manner and the ability to remain calm when working under pressure
- A supportive manner and be a team player
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential
- A forklift licence or experience with a EPOS system would also be advantageous
