Job description
Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Salary: £10.57 Per hour
Location: Lytham
Shift: 07:30am till 16:30 Monday to Friday and 07:30am till 12:30 Friday
3 Month Contract
To perform Store’s duties including picking orders, stock counting, and any other tasks within the department, as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Manager
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure all picking is done to a high level of accuracy and maintain a high level of stock integrity at all times, any stock discrepancies must be reported ASAP.
- Assist in general stores activities at Dock Road and Helical Warton facility as directed and when required.
- Liaise with stores customers (internal and external) to maximise service levels.
- Ensure issue and receipts of stock and implementation of all other stores procedures and practices are executed in a safe and responsible manner.
- Comply with all safe working practices in relation to H&S policies and procedures.
- Ongoing stock maintenance tasks to maximise efficiency in storage areas.
- Attend and participate in meetings as and when required.
- Contribute as required to the stores department continuous improvement program.
- To keep work areas clean and tidy at all times. (Internal and externally)
- Any other duties as defined by management/supervisors.
- Ensure the area of responsibility (Stores) complies with the environmental management system.
- Assist in 6 monthly stock takes.
Your skills and experiences:
Education: Good level of secondary education
Experience & training: General warehouse licences either current or previously held: FLT/Reach would be advantageous.
