Crown SDS are offering an excellent opportunity to be part of a great team environment in a rapidly growing business. We are seeking experienced Warehouse Operatives seeking involvement in variety of tasks.
Reporting to the Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Communicating with drivers to ensure efficient receipt and delivery of products
- Loading and unloading of deliveries
- Using manual handling best practices to lift up to 20 kilos as part of the picking process in addition to use of FLT
- To achieve all set standards for the delivery of all items of stock and to achieve KPI targets
- Reporting and KPI distribution to internal and external departments
There will also be a requirement on occasions to cover Warehouse Driver role, driving company van to make some local collections
We operate various shift times, 40 hours a week. Warehouse opening hours 0500 to 2100 Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities and duties include (but not excusive to):
- Co-ordinate, monitor and assist with the receipt, order and dispatch of goods
- Ensure deliveries are unloaded within given time scales and checked against paperwork reporting any errors to the parties concerned
- Loading and unloading of imports and exports, trailer and containers ensuring accuracy and maintaining safe load systems using manual handling or fork lift equipment
- Ensure accuracy when loading vehicles, maintaining safe load standards
- Updating and maintaining system accuracy for all movements
- Ensure the customer receives a first class service
- Demonstrate a keen eye whilst working under pressure
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring you comply with statutory law, company policy & health & safety guidelines
- Ensure deliveries are unloaded within given time scales and checked against paperwork reporting any errors to the parties concerned
- Organise and process pallet network movements to correct vehicles checking load requirements and ensure timely dispatch of goods
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met
- Absence cover will be required for driving duties to shuttle goods between premises
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required within reasonable request

Applicant Criteria:
· Strong work ethic giving full attention to detail and accuracy as high degree of detail and focus is required on every job
· Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and manual handling techniques
· Strong administration skills including Microsoft Office experience
· Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Able to work with all levels of staff
· Ability to work with minimal supervision
· Goods in and stock control experience
· Be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus in a fast-paced environment.
· Willingness to be flexible and cover other shifts for holidays etc
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with willingness to co-operate and work effectively as part of a team
· Counterbalance FLT license compulsory
· Ability to work with minimal supervision on your own initiative, but must also work well as part of a team
· Previous warehouse experience is essential
· Full driving licence is required
