As you’d expect from the UK’s number one vehicle glass specialist, Autoglass® uses only the highest quality Original Equipment Manufacturer-standard glass for our customers.
Our Technicians fit over 1 million pieces of glass each year which means that our Supply Chain, Laddaw ®, is responsible for sourcing the best quality glass in a dependable and sustainable way.
Transporting large amounts of glass over long distances without damage presents its own challenges, which is why our Supply Chain team, Laddaw®, are experts in Warehouse Management and Logistics! Our technology means we have the ability to track stock movements with absolute accuracy to always ensure that our Technician has the right piece of glass available, for the right customer at the right time.
What does a day with us look like?
Based at our UK Distribution Centre in Bardon, Leicestershire, you will be part of a large team responsible for receiving, unpacking, picking and loading glass for delivery to our Mini Distribution Centres (MDCs) and Autoglass® branches across the UK.
No two days are the same at Laddaw® but you should expect to have responsibility for accepting deliveries, ensuring that items are received and put away in an accurate and timely fashion as well as picking stock to meet delivery demands. You’ll have high standards, with a genuine concern for ensuring that the right stock is in the right place, and at the right time means to ensure our customers continue to receive world class service.
Covering a 37.5-hour week you will be working on the DAY shift, which will include some weekend and bank holiday working. The wellbeing and work life balance of our people is really important, so you will always have your rota well in advance to help you in planning your time away from work.
So, what are we looking for?
Our UK Distribution Centre is key to the success of our overall Supply Chain, with high quantities of goods in and out into our distribution network every day. Collaboration is key to the way we do things around here, so you must be happy interacting with colleagues and occasional external contacts, such as delivery drivers.
Each day will bring something new, testing your ability to think on your feet and solve problems with real care whilst maintaining a strong customer focus.
Why join us?
As a start we can offer you:
  • A salary ranging from £10.21 – £11.69 per hour, dependent on experience.
  • Generous bonus scheme related to company performance, up to £1,600 per annum
  • Up to 15% pension contributions – based on employee contribution of 5%
  • 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
  • Free onsite Gym
  • Discounted shopping vouchers & reward platform
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • AVIVA Digital GP & Wellbeing App
We’ll help you get where you want to go.
At Laddaw®, we never stand still. From the latest warehousing technologies to great training, we’re always happy to try new ideas and do things better – for our customers and our people.
One of the benefits of working with a recognised Superbrand are the learning, development, and progression opportunities that we’re able to provide. Whether you want to progress through skill levels using our dedicated gradebooks, utilise our Apprenticeship scheme to gain formal qualifications, ensure your skills and knowledge remain as up to date as possible or progress your career in different areas of our global business then we’ll make sure you get all the support you need.
