We are looking for a Technical Account Manager in Wellingborough, working remotely 1 day per week (subject to business requirements).

The position holder will offer technical support and interface with the customer to diagnose, troubleshoot and oversee IT projects and system development activity.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support
a. Work closely with Site Management team to understand and support the implementation of projects to support the IT outputs (internal and external), to ensure the site can meet customer expectations, aligned with current and future activity requirements.
b. Engage with IT Department to gain required support for IT and system improvements, to ensure objectives can be achieved with accepted timelines.
c. Support operational team in carrying out their own internal improvement reviews ensuring any benefits are documented, ensuring activities within own areas of responsibility are closed off in the agreed timescales.
d. Ensure all systems development is delivered to specification, within budget, on time and to expectations.

2. Customer Relationship
a. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with the customer to become the first point of contact for system queries, to diagnoses and communicate issues in a timely manner.
b. Manage customer expectations in respect of requests for any systems developments – maintaining a balance between customer needs, the needs of the business and the capabilities of the system.
c. Ensure that all required activity has been accurately costed, communicated and approved by the customer, in advance of any work being undertaken.
d. Maintain good communication between the customer and YLUK at all times, ensuring communication is professional, timely and meets customer expectations.

3. Continuous Improvement
a. Develop and promote initiatives, which enhance the company’s P&L and supports the client in terms of service offering and financial targets.
b. Follow emerging industry trends and technology/tools and promote through business justification to further enhance operations and joint benefits.
c. Identify areas for operational improvements & efficiencies, documenting benefits to YLUK or the customer.

4. Management Reports
a. Produce accurate and timely management information and reporting, including tracking of costs against agreed expenditure, raising at the earliest opportunity both internally and externally any potential variances.
b. Ensure that approved project plans are updated on a regular basis in order that activity can be tracked against expected progress. Ensure that where there potential for scope creep or deviancies from the agreed plan are communicated to the Line Manager at the earliest opportunity.

5. Team Management
a. Manage and monitor levels of performance through delegation and objective setting, ensuring appropriate training and mentoring is provided.
b. Ensuring all company procedures are adhered to in a fair and consistent manner including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, PDR processes. Supporting investigations and disciplinary processes as required.

Key Requirements:
  • Proven track record in a similar role in the logistics industry
  • Warehouse Management Systems experience at a Super User level.
  • Capability to design overall systems solutions to meet specific customer requirements and deliverables.
  • Communicating at all levels from senior management to warehouse personnel.
  • Leading and influencing teams in an environment of change.
  • Experience of managing projects and achieving tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrable ability to make sound judgement under pressure.
  • Ability to drive and organise others.
  • Very high degree of integrity.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Microsoft - Power Point, Excel, Vision, Power BI
