JOB DESCRIPTION: WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: UNIT 6, ISIS TRADING ESTATE, SWINDON SN1 2PG
REPORTS TO: BRANCH MANAGER/GENERAL MANAGER
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:
TO PROVIDE EFFICIENT ADMINISTRITIVE SUPPORT REGARDING WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS TO SUPPORT THE PURCHASING AND SALES TEAM TO PROVIDE FIRST-CLASS SERVICE TO OUR CUSTOMERS, SUPPLIERS AND CLIENTS.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- PACKING ORDERS READY FOR 4PM COURIER COLLECTION
- CHECKING-IN OF INBOUND DELIVERIES FROM SUPPLIER
- INVESTIGATE STOCK DISREPENCIES AND REPORTING FINDINGS TO MANAGEMENT
- ORGANISE PARTS ON THE SHELF AND AMEND/CHANGE STOCK LOCATIONS AND REFLECT ONTO SYSTEM
- PARTICIPATE IN REGULAR STOCK CHECKS
- HANDLING RETURNS/WARRANTIES AND ORGANISE ACCORDINGLY ON THE RETURNS SHELF
- MANAGE AND FILE WARREHOUSE PAPERWORK (DELIVERY NOTES, INVOICES, RETURNS FORMS, ETC)
- TIDYING AND ORGANISING WAREHOUSE CONSUMABLES; BOXES, TAPE, WRAPPING.
- MONITOR ISSUES WITH STOCK ORDERS (IF ANY)
- UPDATE SYSPRO SYSTEM ACCURATELY
- SUPVERVISION OF CONSUMABLES AND STATIONARY ORDERING
- KEEP WAREHOUSE CLEAN AND TIDY, INCLUDING SWEEPING, CHANGING OF BIN, ETC.
- KEEP A LOG OF INBOUND DELIVERIES AND MONITOR/CHASE ACCORDINGLY IF REQUIRED
- CREATING AND MANAGING DOCUMENTS
- ENSURE LOCAL HEALTH & SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROCEDURES ARE ADHERED TO
- RAISING CUSTOMER SHIPPING LABELS ON INXPRESS
- MAKE VALUABLE SUGGESTIONS ON GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS AND PROCESSES
- CREATE NEW BAY LOCATIONS AND ASSIST WITH RACKING
REQUIREMENTS:
- PREVIOUS WAREHOUSE EXPERIENCE (DESIRABLE)
- GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF WAREHOUSE/TRANSPORT PROCEDURES
- COMPUTER LITERATE (MS OFFICE)
- ACCEPTS ADDITIONAL CHANLLENGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- ADMINISTRITIVE EXPERIENCE
- DEAL AND RESPOND TO CHALLENGES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN A TIMELY MANNER
- GENERAL ADMIN DUTIES SUCH AS; FILING, PHOTOCOPYING, STATIONARY ORDERS
- STRONG ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS
- POLISH SPEAKING HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS WITH CENTRAL EUROPEAN HUB BEING IN POLAND BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
- CONFIDENT AND PROFESSIONAL PHONE MANNER
- WILLINGNESS TO LEARN, ADAPT AND GROW WITHIN THE ROLE
- BE A TEAM PLAYER
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN THE AUTOMOTIVE TRADE ADVANTAGEOUS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL.
- GENERAL SUPPORT OF MANGEMENT TEAM
- FORKLIFT LICENSE ADVANTAGEOUS BUT NOT ESSENTIAL AS TRAINING CAN BE PROVIDED
REGULAR TRAINING REQUIRED AS WELL AS TRIPS TO OUR POLISH HQ. WE ARE A SOUTH AFRICAN COMPANY THAT MAINLY OPERATES FROM POLAND WITH A UK DIVISION. WE ARE A SMALL TEAM OF 3 THAT WORKS FOR EACH OTHER GOING THROUGH A GROWTH PERIOD WITH BUDGET TO GROW THE TEAM AND UK BUSINESS AS A WHOLE LONG-TERM. THIS IS AN EXCITING NEW OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN A GROWING TEAM.
IDEALLY WE WOULD LIKE THE CANDIDATE TO BE OPEN MINDED WITH A CAN-DO ATTITUDE AND APPROACH TO FIT INTO OUR SMALL AND GROWING TEAM THAT CAN TAKE SOME OWNERSHIP OF THE ROLE WITH RELEVANT TRAINING PROVIDED.
- 15,000 SQ FT. STOCKING WAREHOUSE SPECIALISING IN PROPSHAFT, DRIVESHAFT AND CV COMPONENTS
- ROOM TO GROW WITHIN THE BUSINESS AND BECOME AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR UK OPERATION AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW
- PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITY TO GET INVOLVED WITH SALES AND PURCHASING PROCESSES, TRADE SHOWS, DELIVERIES AND MORE.

- AUTO ENROLMENT INTO COMPANY PENSION SCHEME
- MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8-5PM, EARLY FINISH 4PM ON FRIDAY

Salary: £25,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
