Job title: Warehouse Supervisor
Reporting to: Warehouse Manager
Working hours: Core hours are 07:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, with possible overtime and weekend work on a rota basis
Main Responsibilities:
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload accordingly.
- Assist Warehouse Manager in all aspects of the daily running and client liaison.
- Maintain the warehouse inventory daily by booking items in/issuing out, change location via the Constantine bespoke Inventory
- Management Software to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain filing of all relevant paperwork
- Coordinate viewings for clients as and when requested.
- Liaise with coordinators on all aspects of work orders.
- Maintain schedule for evening and weekend cover for the warehouse.
- Assist with new warehouse staff inductions and training.
- Identify and allocate correct storage areas for works received to prevent damage.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the warehouse and surrounding areas ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Assist with queries from warehouse staff and drivers outside of normal working hours.
- Communicate effectively with clients to answer questions or resolve any problems.
- Perform audits.
- Ensure all warehouse staff follow relevant company procedures and processes.
- Oversee general warehouse security.
- Perform Monthly fire checks and complete log.
- Prepare all outgoing deliveries for the following day, making sure items are placed in the transit area with correct paperwork attached.
- Respond to any alarm call outs received from outside of normal working hours.
- Maintain warehouse storage optimisation by movement of items, condensing areas where needed to maximise space.
Additional Duties:
- Respond to general emails.
- Assess items received and wrap using the correct packing materials.
- Report warehouse repairs where necessary to maintenance and stay on top of.
- Assist Warehouse Manager in procedural and policy development and implementation.
- Complete all additional diarised warehouse maintenance and best practice tasks.
- Pest Checks
- H&S walkthroughs
- Cover a late shift every Wednesday and a Friday late shift once a month on a rota system.
- Also required to help out by covering an early shift if needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in a supervisory capacity
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Driving license
- Willingness to work across sites
- A sound understanding of health and safety and procedures of art handling
- Must live within 30 minutes commute
