Warehouse/Production Assistant
Reporting to: Managing Director/General Manager
Main Purpose of the Job:
To make sure all goods come and go out efficiently and quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Order processing
- Order picking
- Picking checks
- Handling goods in/out
- Organise warehouse space
- Place incoming inventory items appropriately
- Inspect products for defects and damages
- Creating decoration order forms
- Stock checks
- Plotting and printing
- Ordering products from Suppliers
- Quality check and packing
- Emails and phone calls
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
- Keep warehouse clean and organised daily
Working Conditions:
Working hours: 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
Leave entitlement 20 days per year (some of which must be taken during Christmas
and New Year shut down) plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
Person Specification:
- Good Standard of Education.
- RSA Stage III Typing/Word Processing (Word, Excel, Power Point etc).
- Good organisation and time-management skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Excellent telephone manner, courteous and outgoing.
- First Class level of confidentiality and initiative is essential.
- Flexible and capable of working under pressure to tight time-scales.
