TMB offers products and services to entertainment production and staging professionals, as well as architectural lighting specifiers and designers worldwide. With offices in Los Angeles, London, New York, Toronto, Beijing, and Riga, TMB sells and supports a wide range of leading brands, many of which are highly technical and proprietary.
We are currently seeking an entry-level Warehouse Operative. This will be an opportunity to learn about warehouse functions while serving as backup support to multiple departments within the organization. Experience of work in a warehouse environment would be helpful but full training will be provided.
Job duties includes but are not limited to the following:
- Handle all incoming shipments.
- Perform verification of purchased products and enter purchase order receipts into TMBs computer system.
- Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate.
- Place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations.
- When appropriate, relocate and consolidate material and notify management of new bon/table locations.
- Pull, pack, weigh, and label materials for shipment (including assemble & hold orders).
- Enter all shipments in UPS / FedEx computer and process daily closing reports.
- Prepare bills of lading and express receipts.
- Always working to get a better deal on shipping costs.
- File freight claims on lost shipments and resolve.
- Complete packing dimensions/weight and provide description of packages, pallets, etc.
- Order boxes and all other shipping supplies.
- Assist in loading the trucks.
- Prepare local delivery records and complete applicable blocks on the pick ticket.
- Operate Forklift or Company vehicles when required.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety checklists.
- Inspect condition of returned material prior to completing return authorization forms.
- Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale or return to supplier.
- Clean warehouse and trucking/parking area.
- Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves, and tables as needed.
- Administer preventative maintenance programs to delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices for warehouse operations.
- Manage Dispatch emails: Plan and coordinate pick-ups from vendors and deliveries to customers.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
