JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative

LOCATON: Avonmouth

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain FLM

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out duties and instructions so that all products requiring to be dispatched are in the correct quantities, the correct quality, and assembled and loaded to the deadlines and standards that are required by our customers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Carry out quality and code checks on product as appropriate. To ensure that poor quality items are removed from the order assembly process and replaced with good quality items (thus preventing customer complaints).

· Continually improving own performance and product flow through the warehouse.

· To actively make and follow through suggestions for improvements, leading to a step change in site performance.

· Decant product as required for the operation.

· Assemble goods on wheels for customer deliveries.

· Be a flexible and committed member of the shift team.

· Train less experienced members of the team to the required standard.

· To undertake any duties in any other area by request, providing that undertaking of such duties does not present a Health & Safety danger to either yourself or your fellow colleagues.

· Ensure full compliance to Health & Safety regulations.

· Ensure full compliance to the Company’s “Clean as you go” policy.

· To treat company equipment “as if your own”.

· 100% compliance to company reporting systems (i.e. put to light)

KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS

Essential

· Basic numeracy and literacy essential

· Ability to work as part of a team

· A good sense of the importance of good customer service

· Knowledge and experience of short shelf life products and daily delivery operation

Desirable

· Experience of a similar role

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £25,342.00 per year
