Warehouse Operative | 18-20k Per year depending on experience.
Become part of our growing business, we have recently expanded to 3 warehouse units in King Street, Langtoft. We are offering a permanent contract paid monthly, and a great opportunity to progress with us if you are a dependable team member.
What does a Warehouse Operative do?
At the heart of our operation is the warehouse, all goods incoming and outgoing. You will be reporting into the Warehouse Manager and responsible for prepping goods for dispatch, labelling products, reworking products, and processing orders that come in. You will also help with maintaining the warehouse, good housekeeping and ensuring it is a safe environment. We store pallets of stock so you will be able to drive a forklift (Training will be given).
Who is right for this role?
The ideal person will be a team player, have knowledge of warehouse fulfilment and the importance of getting tasks completed. The ability to follow procedures with Health & Safety guides is vital. It can be a cold environment in winter which involves a lot of standing and moving around the warehouse with boxes sometimes of up to 30KG. Although not necessary, a forklift licence would be favourable, but for the right candidate training will be provided. Great opportunity for the right person to join a friendly and hard-working team.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming shipments
- Pick and pack orders for shipment
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other equipment
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse
- Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role preferred
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
