Warehouse Operative (Repacking) - The Malt Miller
As a Warehouse Operative at The Malt Miller, your primary responsibility is the accurate and timely dispatch of customer orders. Ensuring our customers have a positive experience and meeting or exceeding their expectations is vital to the success and growth of the business. In addition to this you will need to act with both diligence and compliance in mind, helping to maintain a safe and clean environment for our colleagues and customers and ensuring we adhere to the standards that we expect at The Malt Miller.
Working in our Purchasing and Repacking area involves taking a higher degree of responsibility towards the repackaging of products to a food safe standard and in a safe and compliant way. Ensuring these products are correctly labelled and keeping accurate records is a vital requirement for managing stock wastage in this role. Supporting with reordering of products to maintain stock levels will also be required.
Helping the Warehouse Manager and Supervisor in other duties will be expected, tasks such as restocking, counting inventory and maintaining the layout of the warehouse. You will also be required to learn skills such as how to process our malted and milled goods.

Whilst being a homebrewer is not a vital skill in this role, a willingness to learn about our products and industry is desirable and will assist in any future ambition to grow in the business.
Primary Tasks
- Packing customer orders ready for shipping
- Repackaging of bulk supplies of ingredients and chemicals into smaller portions appropriate for our customers needs.
- Picking customer orders ready for packing
- Sealing customer orders ready for shipping
- Stock control and inventory counting/management
- Taking a leading role in repackaging of other products to be ready for customer dispatch
- Maintaining a safe and tidy place of work in compliance with Health & Safety protocols
- Stock movement within and between the warehouses
- Receiving and processing of deliveries
- Stock rotation
Secondary Duties
- Assist in the milling of malted products ready for customer dispatch
- Supporting the customer service team with handling customer queries and resolving customer issues such as telephone calls or emails
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week
