What you’ll be doing
As a Warehouse Operative, you will provide real-time visibility and availability of materials through our warehouse management system (Sales Force) whilst ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage and issue of materials and Signing & Guarding (S&G) to the construction teams to meet agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s). Your main responsibilities will include:
- Issue materials in real-time through our scanning hardware to the appropriate work order or Sales Force appointment and team ID
- Manage the replenish receipts from the Regional Distribution Centre and direct delivery from Suppliers
- Action field returns against work order or Sales Force appointment in real-time in-order to update stock records accordingly
- Undertake regular programmed stocktaking in-line with Thames Water Inventory Management processes which may be required outside of working hours and investigate any arising discrepancies for audit purposes
- Maintain clean stocks of Chapter 8 and Signage & Barriers and issue when required
- Maintain a health and safety work environment in-line with Thames Water’s Health & Safety commitment
- Maintain good housekeeping to drive improvements in waste management through local engagement to improve recycling and reduce landfill
- Always ensure security of site and equipment
Job Details
- £27,000 to £29,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
- 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 07.00am-17.00pm
- On call rota: Monday-Sunday, 1 week in every 6 weeks: On call enhancement, call out charge and overtime paid
- Based at Abbey Wood, London but will need to provide resilience to other local hubs
We’re looking for you to
- Have previous Warehouse experience
- Hold a full UK driving Licence and own transport
- Hold a Counterbalance, Reach or Telehandler fork-lift licence
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written skills
- Possess basic computer skills, specifically Excel
- Be comfortable with manual handling, lifting up to 25Kgs
