Job description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- To load and unload trucks and containers using appropriate equipment.
ensuring relevant paperwork is signed or attached to the goods.
- To store and maintain inventory in designated areas.
- To inspect inventory regularly for damages or discrepancies and report any issues to management.
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- To deal with delivery drivers, freight companies and other internal customers within the facility.
- To investigate any shortages of parts and liaise as appropriate with the Spares Teamleader, Parts Accounts Supervisors, and any other relevant personnel.
- To carry out all relevant paperwork/computer work related to the job role and maintain reports/systems in a timely manner.
- To participate in stock counts and co-ordinate the necessary transactions to the stock system to ensure it is up-to-date.
- To participate in any applicable continuous improvement programmes including 5S and housekeeping activities.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working within a fast moving stores or despatch environment.
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE Standard or equivalent
- IT literate (Microsoft range of products)
- Excellent communication skills
- A 3 ton forklift truck license would be desirable in this role
