Job description

Due to company relocation and expansion, we are delighted to be seeking a new member to join our UK warehouse team located in Halesowen.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking international company as they set up their new UK operation. The position offers the potential for career development into a managerial position for the right candidate as the business grows and we add to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performing general warehouse duties, including but not limited to picking, packing, and sorting inventory by hand or by forklift truck

2. Maintaining a well-organised and clean work area, along with completing stock inventory checks monthly complying with health and safety regulations.

3. Operating manual and automated equipment to handle goods and materials safely with care.

4. Loading and unloading shipments, ensuring accurate count and quality inspection of goods outward and inward.

5. Checking for damaged or missing items and assessing repair requirement for damaged components.

6. Using computer systems effectively to input data, track inventory, and update records as required.

7. Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely fulfilment of orders.

8. Adhering to company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting company requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar along with a fork lift license is desirable.

2. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

3. Good communication skills

4. A reliable and punctual individual with excellent time management skills.

5. Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.

6. Basic computer literacy

7. A proactive and adaptable nature, willing to undertake additional duties as required.

We offer a competitive pay rate of £24,000 per annum. Typical office working hours, though there may be times when this differs slightly dependant on company needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £24,000.00 per year
