Warehouse Operative

Permanent, Full Time
Shifts: 14:00 – 22:00, Monday to Friday
RS Group are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work in our busy distribution centre in our advanced skills area. This role will require use of a number of different types of manual handling equipment (MHE) including:
Forklift Trucks
LLOP
HLOP
VNAT
But don’t worry, we offer FULL TRAINING and in-house licenses for all of these vehicles.
What will you be doing?
As well as learning and loving your new machines, this role is all about picking and packing orders to targets and deadlines.
But being a warehouse operative at RS is so much more than that. We want you to be at the forefront of pushing the business forward, so you will be encouraged to offer your ideas and opinions on continuous improvement initiatives.
BE AWARE: This role will require you manually handling pallets of 5kg – 35kg so good physical fitness is needed.
About you
If you have previous experience in a warehouse then that would be brilliant but as we said, there is full training provided. We are looking for a fantastic work ethic and a desire to improve and grow within the company. We promote from within and some of our best people have worked their way up, so actual progression is available.
You also need to have:
Basic Numeracy and Literacy
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work within a team
3-year criminality check
5-year background check
