As a Night Shift Warehouse Operative based at Relay’s Harrow HA7 facility, you can expect to …
- Inbound and stage all incoming parcels from our various client warehouses
- Move products from staging to sortation area using pump trucks and trolleys
- Sort parcels into efficient routes for couriers, with Relay technology to guide you
- Stage parcel bags neatly and clearly in time for our Middle Mile couriers to pick up and distribute each morning
- Work shifts onsite that work for you. The Relay sortation warehouse is a 5 min walk from Queensbury station on the Jubilee line. Please note, we are initially hiring for overnight shifts for our current stage of growth
- Achieve all warehouse objectives relating to Health & Safety, productivity, and cost to deliver outstanding service to our customers
You might be a great fit for this role if…
- You are willing and able to work overnight shifts
- You have high standards for working efficiently and keeping your work space organised, clean and tidy
- You are willing and able to follow safety, quality and production standards
- You are able to stand and walk for a long time – this could be more than 8 hours per shift
- You are able to life, bend, twist, kneel and crouch
- You may need to lift and move parcel bags that weigh up to 40kg – Individual parcels usually weigh less than 2kg
- Have a growth mindset, always open to feedback and new ideas to improve towards new levels of excellence as a team
- Work collaboratively with the Shift manager and wider team members to improve the product and create a positive experience for the customers, couriers and fellow Relay team members
We are looking for candidates who…
- Are willing and able to be based onsite at our modern warehouse facility in Harrow HA7, less than 5 minute walk from Queensbury station on the Jubilee line
- Are willing and able to work flexible schedules and shifts: you always commit the time required to get the job done
- Have previous experience in a sortation facility – bonus but not required
Compensation
- Overnight hours (23:00 - 07:00): £12.60 / hour including holiday pay
- Day hours (07:00 - 23:00): £11 / hour including holiday pay
- Get paid weekly
- Strong performers can eventually grow into shift supervisors, assistant managers and site managers, as well as other central roles
