Job Title: Warehouse OperativeTrust Location: Manchester University NHS Foundation TrustLocation: Oxford Road Campus – M13 9WLShift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08.00 - 16.00 (37.5 hrs per week)Payrate: Band 3 - £12.45 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidaysWould you like to be part of a team that works well together, always there to help each other? You will be working in the hospital distribution warehouse which holds medical consumables and sundries as used in the operation of the hospital, including PPE, R&D equipment, and general ward consumables.Key responsibilities· Receive daily PPE deliveries. Ensuring full quality checks, count and general storage of items are completed.· Manual Handling of stock by hand and/or using a pallet truck/flatbed or roll cage.· Quality check of goods including damage, missing lines and expired stock.· Delivering PPE goods and other medical items to various locations through the trust in a timely manner.· Managing direct calls and emails from areas requesting PPE and responding professionally.· Managing a sub store for PPE and ensuring the stock levels are correct and placing further top up orders to the trust’s distribution centre.To be considered for this role:· Previous experience in a warehouse or in retail would be highly advantageous.· Physically able to work long hours on your feet.· Basic numeracy skills.· Good communication skills.· Ability to quickly learn the role and work at pace.About the TrustNorth Manchester General Hospital is located on Delaunays Road, Crumpsall, M8 5RB, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport.
