A new vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative within our company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Warehouse team based at Skegness, Lincolnshire.
LOCATION: Skegness, Lincolnshire.
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operative
JOB TYPE: Full time
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm (with 1 hour for lunch)
PAY: £10.90 per hour, increasing to £12.43 per hour upon successful completion of probationary period
JOB PURPOSE:
As a warehouse operative you will be responsible for making sure the products that enter and leave the warehouse are correct and of high quality whilst reaching targets and KPI’s
Key Duties:
Adhere to company policies- Attend and contribute to departmental team briefs/updates
- Conduct necessary machinery and equipment checks
- Follow company quality procedures
- Work to department JWI’s
- Support your team leader to reach and exceed daily targets
- Adhere to 5S/Good housekeeping standards and principles
- Proactively engage and follow Health and Safety procedures and site rules at all times
- Actively working with SAGE 200 to uphold and maintain traceability of incoming and outgoing stock
- Counterbalance and reach truck operating to load and unload vehicles and to locate and store materials
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will also have the following skills and attributes:
Work closely with the Team Leader and Supervisor- Attention to detail in supporting the Team Leader and Supervisor in meeting company and customer quality requirements
- Must be physically capable for the demands of the role
- Good understanding of safe working practices and importance of compliance
- Understand set targets and monitor KPI’s within the warehouse
- Good self-motivation, initiative and commitment to the business
- Willing to work flexible hours as and when required
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Ability to work with computers with some levels of IT knowledge (user control interfaces)
- Good level of spoken and written English
Training and support will be provided and the ideal candidate must be willing to attend courses/sessions as and when offered, in order to continue development of people management skills and operational efficiency working practices.
