Summary

PERMANENT ALL SHIFTS WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES

£11.60 up to £16.50 per hour*. This isn’t 9-5. This is making the most of every day.

Our warehouses never stop running; 24 hours a day, our Warehouse Operatives work a range of shifts to make sure our stores receive the right stock, when they need it. We rely on every single employee in the warehouse to roll up their sleeves and get the job done - it’s your energy that helps get our 2,000 plus products into the hands of our customers.

Permanent Warehouse Operative contracts are a 37.5 hour week working 4/5 days on, 2 days off pattern in most departments. The shift pattern hours are fixed however the days of working will rotate. The Warehouse operates 24/7 and flexibility over 7 days of the week is required.*

Shift Pattern 1 - Mornings, 06:00 - 14:00 (Ambient)

Shift Pattern 2 – Afternoons, 14:00 - 22:00 (Chilled)

Shift Pattern 3 – Afternoons, 13:00 - 21:00 (Fresh Fruit & Veg)

Shift Pattern 4 - Nights, 20:30 - 05:00 (Ambient)

  • The above shift patterns are a guide and could slightly differ (30-60mins -/+) in some specific departments, please discuss this at interview stage. Lidl also has the right to change shift patterns within reason and with notice if the business needs determine it.

What you'll do

  • Pick a variety of products including meat, fruit, frozen and chilled items
  • Listen carefully to picking instructions through your headset and carry them out at pace
  • Make sure your deliveries are perfectly stacked and secure
  • Report any damaged items to your manager
  • Take responsibility for working through your orders independently
  • Help out in any team tasks, such as cleaning equipment and checking stock

What you'll need

  • Some experience of working in a fast-paced, target driven environment
  • Willingness to work with all different types of stock, in temperature-controlled areas
  • Good attention to detail when working quickly
  • Self-motivation to work hard and do everything to the best of your ability

  • Max. rate includes £1.50 extra per hour for hours worked in the freezer and £3 extra per hour for hours worked between 00.00 - 05.00.
