What is the job role?
We are searching for a Warehouse Operative to join our team at Gael Force Marine Equipment Limited, based at our headquarters in Inverness. We are looking for the right attitude, so even if you feel the skills are not aligned, we can offer excellent training opportunities.
What were looking for:
This role will assist in the smooth efficient operation of the warehouse in handling stock, processing orders, dispatching completed orders, assisting customers internal and external, in the manner described in the work instructions and current framework.
The key objectives of the role are:
- Correctly and accurately receiving deliveries on site.
- Correctly picking orders accurately, timeously, and neatly ensuring a high standard of warehouse cleanliness.
- Correctly despatching orders ensuring accuracy.
- Delivery and collection of items using company vehicles.
- Assisting in the accuracy of stock by daily action and carrying out stock checks when required.
- Assisting in other departments when required to ensure smooth overall production.
- Use any tools or equipment you have been trained to operate. (e.g. Forklift, Grinder, Gas cutting torch, Manitou, Vehicles etc).
- At all times pay attention to all safety instructions.
- Maintenance and safety checks to be carried out on all plant.
- Always interact with customers in a helpful courteous manner.
- Overtime working may be required.

- Ability to work without supervision.
- Ability to follow procedures.
Desirable:
- Forklift certificate.
- Abrasive wheels.
- Cutting torch.
- COSHH awareness.
- Manual handling training.
- Competent use of IT systems.

What can you expect:
In return for working a 39-hour week with an earlier finish on a Friday, we are offering a starting hourly rate of £10.50 per hour which will be reviewed after a successful probationary period, generous staff discount on over 10,000 product lines instore, and a cycle to work scheme. Annual leave commences at 30 days per annum, increasing with length of service.
