We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives (pickers) for our site in Aylesford, near Maidstone on a full-time, contracted permanent basis.
Shift patterns:
Any Four days from Seven as below.
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Friday – 07:00am-19:00pm – 44 hours paid per week - £28,153 per annum.
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday – 07:00am–19:00pm – 44 hours paid per week - £28,153 per annum
Any Five days from Seven as below.
- Sunday-Thursday – 07:00am-17:00pm - 45 hours paid per week – £28,519 per annum.
- Tuesday-Saturday – 07:00am-17:00pm - 45 hours paid per week – £28,519 per annum.
Salary:
- Weekdays - £11.72 per hour.
- Weekend days - £14.06 per hour.
- Overtime rate - £ 14.06 per hour
Job description:
- Ensure all operational activity is carried out safely and in line with the company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOWs, and HACCP regulations.
- To carry out any operational activity as instructed which you are properly trained to undertake including but not limited to; Goods-in, Put away, Replenishment, Picking, Marshalling, Loading, De-kitting, Recycling, and damages.
- To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's performance & productivity targets.
- Use the correct PPE for the activity/temperature range for the area in which you are working.
- Ensure that site practices, policies and procedures are followed and hygiene standards are maintained.
- To use all work equipment provided to you as instructed and to maintain the condition of that equipment.
- To ensure the correct documentation is completed where necessary for example; inbound and despatched loads.
- Reporting all MHE, equipment or building defects in line with company procedures and taking appropriate action to ensure own and colleague safety.
- Ensure all return streams are dealt with as per company procedures
- To assist the Stock Control team as and when required.
- To assist colleagues when required and to behave appropriately at all times.
- Experienced with the use of MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment/Electrick barrow truck).
- You are comfortable working in a chilled 2.5’c environment (warm clothing required) You are comfortable with manual handling / case picking.
- You are able to work at least one weekend day.
- Experience of working within an environment where achieving deadlines and quality of work are critical.
- Good Standard of written and verbal English.
