Job description

Job Title: Warehouse Operative - Envoy/Picker

Shifts: Potential to change to shifts in future and weekend overtime. A Shift allowance would then be implemented.

Current Hours: Monday to Thursday - 6:30am-3:00pm and Friday – 7:00am-2:00pm

Bonuses:

Based on attendance, no disciplinaries & warehouse stock accuracy. One in July worth £375 & one in January worth £500.

Operating Procedures/ Work Instructions: As per local procedures

Responsible for: Meeting the requirements of the Company's Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental systems, which is mandatory and ensuring that the company's policies and procedures are followed at all times.

Principle Activities:

· Understand, develop and promote the Company's business objectives and participate with total enthusiasm and commitment to achieve and exceed them.

· Ensure that you fully understand your work requirements and duties and have received the correct supervised training in accordance with the Company's training requirements to enable you to undertake your duties.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities are: …. ENVOY DUTIES

· To deliver parts from the warehouse and replenish bins to rack locations, ensuring that parts are put away correctly.

· To identify replenishment requirements and scan empty locations.

· To maintain replenished locations in a tidy orderly manner.

· To ensure sufficient stock is available on customer site at all times.

· To liaise with customer on site to endure customer satisfaction.

· To continually check for damaged labels and request replacements as necessary.

· To ensure no stock reaches the customer line without the correct procedure being followed.

· To maintain batch traceability.

· To return empty KLT's to warehouse.

· Ensure first in/first out (FIFO) stock rotation is observed.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities are:.... PICKING DUTIES

· To pick and decant items into correct size / type KLT

· To Ensure all KLTs are labelled correctly to identify and preserve traceability

· To confirm items picked correspond to the items described on the Pick slip.

· To produce Production orders and Pick slips when req'd.

· To ensure that similar size parts are segregated during decant process to retain their identity and eliminate errors.

-To assist in part sorting

· To advise admin and /or line manager of potential missing stock.

· To ensure first in/first out (FIFO) stock rotation is observed.

· To repackage bulk items into smaller quantities to comply with the company or customer requirements.

· To fill compactors as necessary (waste management).

· To maintain and use equipment correctly e.g. MHE and report faults/ issues to Line Management

· To assist quarterly stock taking in warehouse or lineside.
