Job description
_We are currently recruiting for a Goods Inwards/Stores Person on a permanent basis,
to complete all aspects of stores. The successful candidate will be responsible for
managing the receipting of all incoming goods into stores and other stock control
duties, specifically utilising in-house computer systems for all aspects of inventory
control._
You will be responsible for the location, allocation, and movement of all parts and products to fulfil all internal and external customer orders and outgoing shipments, and you will verify all materials as they are received into the warehouse checking both product type and quantity. You will co-ordinate and expedite the repair, returns, and exchange of any defective products contacting external vendors as required.
Duties and responsibilities as the Stock Controller/Co-Ordinator will include but not limited to:
Goods in & Goods out functions.
Organise stock locations and carry out activities to optimise warehouse space.
Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.
To liaise with the Operations/Production Manager about stock shortages on incoming deliveries.
Check goods in delivery notes against purchase orders.
Report of stock returns to Sales Team and after processing.
Investigate and resolve inventory integrity issues in collaboration with Operations/Production Manager.
Provide inventory support to all departments where required.
Complete stock moves to support operational efficiency.
To liaise with the Production Manager to kit the parts ready for Assembly Technicians to manufacture based on the production schedule.
Responsible for communication of issues/information to the Operations/Production Manager stock count variances, count accuracy or general warehouse queries.
Maintain and check warehouse plant and machinery in accordance with specified procedures and company health and safety policy reporting any defects/issues to the Operations/Production Manager.
Carry out monthly checks of racking and storage to ensure that there is no damage to the shelving to include shelf edges, frames and or storage contained within these areas.
Physically fit as manual handling is an essential part of the job.

Key Skills/Experience
Proven work experience as a Stock Controller/Co-ordinator or similar role.
Computer literate
Excellent communication skills
Able to work unsupervised and be part of the team.
Excellent problem-solving
Excellent organisational skills
Able to communicate effectively.
Knowledge or Warehouse Management Systems
Essential
Must be able to read and understand technical/engineering drawings.
Must have good working level of ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Must have experience in production manufacturing and stock control.
