Job description

We are looking for an experienced warehouse operative to join our busy mail order company, initially on a fixed term contract with a view to becoming permanent.

To be considered for this role you must have warehousing experience and be familiar with all aspects of warehousing and ideally have 2 years previous experience. FLT experience would also be advantageous. In addition, being used to dealing with multiple couriers and being used to working to targets with a good level of accuracy is a must.

Main Responsibilities:

A high level of picking and packing, working to daily targets

Order dispatch

Receiving and checking deliveries from external partners

Data entry into our mainframe system

Stock checking and counting

Replenishment of stock

Stock moves

Operation of FLT

Ensuring that a high level of accuracy is maintained at all times

Ensuring that Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times

Ensuring that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained throughout the warehouse

We are looking for:

A strong and supportive team player, polite and presentable with good communication skills

Demonstrable track record of working in a similar environment

Ability to meet KPI’s

Able to work as part of the team or independently

A good problem solver

Good basic PC skills with accuracy to detail for data input

Experience of manual handling goods and picking using manual methods

A good level of literacy and numeracy

A high level of accuracy

Willingness and flexibility to work additional hours at busy times of year

A can do attitude

Availability for immediate start

Salary: £10.42 per hour

  • FLT: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Fork Lift Truck Licence (preferred)
