Job description

Main responsibilities

· Adherence to set operational shift targets

· Understanding of Key Service Indicator and Key Performance Indicator in ambient warehousing and bakery service requirements

· Continuous physical and written control of product movements

· Basic understanding of Warehouse Management Systems requirements

· Ensuring good housekeeping practices are adhered to at all times

· Ensuring adherence to all technical procedures and work instructions

· Ensuring accuracy of stock put away, picking, receipt and despatch

· Providing assistance during stock take

· Receipt, put away, and despatch by means of pedestrian pallet trucks, reach trucks, counterbalance

· Ensuring and maintaining standards of good behavior, flexibility and safe practice

· Ensuring all assigned shift tasks are completed accurately and on time

· Ensuring all damages reported to shift team leaders/managers

· Providing assistance to central stores/cold store operations when required

· Confirming receipts and despatch to the system

· Providing traceability assistance for customer audits

· Providing replenishment services to site

· Covering daily distribution profile requirements for UK retail deliveries and inbound European deliveries

· Liaising closely with 3rd party transport service provider (drivers)

· Ensuring coordination with onsite shunting activates for internal stock movements

· Checking drivers’ paperwork and cross referencing with physical receipt

· Signing out drivers with appropriate despatch and customer paperwork

· Escorting and briefing site visitors through their operational areas

· Communicating any training/skills needs to their line manager

· Training new members of the team

· Attending regular operative meetings to discuss performance, issues and company progress

· Ensure compliance with all HR policies and procedures at all times

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £11.86 per hour
