TITLE: Warehouse Operative

REPORTING TO: Operations Manager

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: General Warehouse Duties And Shuttling In Van Across Both Swindon Warehouses

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The warehouse operative will be located at the Swindon warehouse and will work as a team reporting to the Operations Manager.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Driving CES van between warehouses as required.

Receiving goods in, putting away stock into palletised racking using bar code scanning system.

Booking into stock via computerised stock system using bar code scanners.

Daily picking of sales orders.

Daily despatch and invoicing of goods using computerised stock system.

Weekly perpetual stock taking of warehouse.

Ensuring the warehouse remains clean and tidy and safe place to work.

Maintaining a clean and tidy car park area, including outside windows

REMUNERATION

1. Salary (£11.36 per hour - £23,636 per annum).

2. 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday – ½ hour for lunch – Start Times to be agreed

3. Holiday 23 days in addition statutory holidays.

4. 4 x Salary life assurance.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

1. Clean Driving Licence is Essential

2. Good communication skills.

3. Trustworthy, Reliable and able to work unsupervised.

4. PC literate – experience of computerised stocking systems would be beneficial.

5. Experience of using Bar Code Scanners

6. Fork Lift – counter balance licence is essential

7. Good general education, ideally 5 GCSE’s Including Maths & English

8. Previous warehouse experience.
