Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative for our client based in Birmingham.
Duties:
- To follow company operating procedures under the guidelines of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001.
- To assist with maintaining the company's policy on quality.
- To ensure that all safety regulations are adhered to at all times in the warehouse area.
- To maintain the readiness of the warehouse equipment and ensure yard/access areas are always kept in a state of tidiness and cleanliness.
- To complete all goods inwards and outwards in line with company procedures.
- To process the efficient progress of pick notes and prompt despatch of goods.
- To ensure that goods are correctly selected, handled carefully and efficiently, and packed according to the contracts departments’ instructions.
- To ensure that all stores records and procedures are maintained in line with company policy.
- To ensure logging of customer queries.
- To process the provision of information relating to credit note authorisation.
- Stocktaking as required by the operations manager.
- To assist in the packing of goods for export shipment.
- To action the creation, completion and storage of all documentation relevant to goods for export shipment.
- To maintain a safe working environment, ensuring gang ways are kept clear, and stock stored in designated areas.
- To exercise care in the handling and lifting of goods, using the equipment provided where appropriate.
Working Hours
8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
