Job Function:
The purpose of the Warehouse Operative’s role is to ensure that the receiving, storage, picking and loading of stock is efficient and timely managed.
You will ensure that the operation performs effectively and efficiently on a daily basis and complies with all Legal, Health and Safety, Hygiene regulations and Company Policies. You will be aiming to deliver a “best in class” facility for operational efficiency.
As a warehouse operative you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets.
Principle Responsibilities:
Following the company's quality standards and complying with food safety at all times.
Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, boxes and shelves.
Maintaining a stock rotation of all goods
Collecting items from throughout the warehouse, preparing and completing warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule
Ensuring quality of produce is kept up to the customer needs
Loading of goods onto delivery vehicles following a coherent order and maintaining a safe stacking of goods
Warehouse porter duties including daily cleaning after use
Follow additional line manager reasonable requests as the business requires.
Adherence to work schedule and attendance policy
Skill Requirements:
Good organisational skills
Fork lift licence
Reliability and dependability
Literacy & numeracy
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Manual handling
Self-motivated
Upbeat and energised “can do “attitude
Flexible and willing take on a variety of tasks
Team player
Role Specifics:
Working hours – 40 hours a week excluding breaks. 5 days a week. Shifts will be Sunday to Friday night with a rota day included each week.
