Our Harlow depot is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager (Nights) to lead the nights operation. Reporting in to the Head of Operations, you'll lead the operations of the warehouse night shift in line with finance targets and legal compliance whilst achieving the best possible level of service excellence to internal and external customers, delivered through effective engaging and motivational leadership.
Further key responsibilities will include:
- Effective team deployment and development is vital to ensure the warehouse operation provides the highest levels of operational efficiencies, service excellence and productivity within the business.
- You'll be capable of recruiting and inducting skilled and motivated people into our business and will lead, coach and engage teams to be successful.
- You will be required to coach and engage individuals to perform to their maximum potential and must communicate effectively with individuals at all levels including those within different departments.
- You'll promote and manage all QHSE and sustainability standard, focusing on team well-being in accordance with the relevant policies. This includes PPE, ops checks, MHE, contractors, hygiene, temperature checks, pest control, accidents and near misses.
The Successful Applicant The successful Warehouse Manager (Nights) will live within a commuting distance of our depot in Harlow and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Previous experience in the successful leadership of a nightshift operation.
- Experience with an FMCG distribution environment is key, ideally food.
- Strong people management and development skills and be able to consistently apply HR standards specifically around recruitment, absence management, performance, conduct, safety and service.
- You will be able to set clear expectations including KPIs, safety and team behaviours to all direct reports by setting annual objectives and holding regular one to ones to review performance.
- You'll be confident in processing and understanding data from systems such as WMS, Risk Console and our employee self-serve system.
- You will be an excellent planner and communicator, with the ability to communicate with all levels across different shifts and departments.
- IOSHH qualification preferred.
Shift pattern is Sunday- Thursday. 40 hours a week (Nights)

Salary: Up to £50,000.00 per year
