The Sausage Man UK Ltd is an importer of German food. As the UK’s number 1 German Sausage & Hot Dog supplier, we provide the whole of the UK whether they be wholesalers buying in bulk, caterers stocking their restaurants, or families purchasing for a BBQ.
We store and supply frozen, chilled, and ambient food goods from our warehouse based in South Darenth (near Bluewater). You need to be able to drive to get here. We are not in a public transport friendly location.

Profile:
We are looking for someone who has senior experience of running an efficient warehouse who leads by example and can efficiently deal with all issues that arise from managing a warehouse and staff.
- Experience in warehousing and distribution, with staff supervision.
- Senior experience with leadership and extremely strong staff management skills.
- Organisation, communication, and relationship building abilities.
- Proven track record of problem solving and process implementation in a professional environment.
- Multitasking on different challenges / priorities throughout the day / year.
- Experience of food industry warehousing desirable.
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
- Expertise in warehouse management procedures, health and safety, and best practices
- Excellent understanding of day-to-day warehouse functions
- Outstanding leadership, organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong people skills including rota organisation and shift management
- Availability to work varied shift hours at peak times
- Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
- Valid drivers' license (or ability to commute to site – no public transport)
- Proficient computer skills
Responsibilities:
Your job will entail overseeing daily warehouse operations ensuring processes run smoothy and planning for the future requirements of the warehouse.
- General warehouse management including shipping and receiving
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Staff leadership, management, supervision, and training
- Managing seasonality demands of the business
- Coping with the seasonal demands of the business
- Ensuring our busiest season (October-December) is planned effectively
- Managing seasonal demands increasing staff, and reducing in the new year
- Managing 24/7 operations in November & December
- Fleet management
- Inventory management
- Working in collaboration with other managers in the business
- Continual efficiency and cost reduction

Salary: Circa £37,000 to £40,000 per annum DOE
