Job description
We are currently seeking a warehouse manager to join a growing SME based in Northwest London. This is a high-pressure environment where often clients move scheduled deliveries and sales teams require urgent samples. This position is also responsible for building long term supplier relationships based in Japan focusing on schedule and cost.
Key Duties:
- Ensuring stock is maintained
- Reduce the stock lines and cash tied up in inventory
- Correctly communicating client information such as delivery schedules
- Taking care of client requests
- Chasing repeat orders and managing forward contracts
- Support sales teams drive for growth by facilitating sample requests
Requirements
- Proficient in Excel
- Good understanding in Japanese beef
- Able to read Japanese labels
- Communicating supplier in Japan
- Logistics experience in managing warehouses, goods in/out
- Experience in supplier negotiation
- Positive, friendly, and cheerful disposition
- Must have experience of holding others accountable and managing direct reports
