Position Summary:
Our Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of receiving, selecting and loading products and maintaining productivity level. This role will demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead, mentor, engage and develop warehouse teams to maximize their contributions, including multiple areas and processes within the Warehouse Department and cross-functional teams.
2. Support other warehouse managers and directors to create and implement departmental strategic plans and drive continuous improvement.
3. Communicate with fellow managers and supervisors to monitor daily operational activities (including the teams in other countries).
4. Oversee the execution of departmental work tasks to ensure that all the target metrics and SLAs are met.
5. Coach team members by creating a shared understanding of objectives and how to achieve them; reward and recognize team members.
6. Be responsible for the departmental expense and managing the budget which includes cost control, regarding labor and supplies usage meeting P&L statement requirements.
7. Understand performance and quality metrics and data, and be able to perform intermediate data analysis to improve overall productivity, PPH, UPH and Financial Cost per Unit.
8. Understand TQM (Total Quality Management) concept, leverage data to achieve DPMO targets, and continuously find methods to reduce errors and defects.
9. Create value through efficient operations with appropriate cost control. Use Operational Excellence methodology with a particular focus on efficiencies of IB, OB operations and inventory management.
10. Understand end-to-end supply chain processes and be able to use WMS, TMS and other tools to manage the day-to-day operations.
11. Be responsible for daily labor planning including 3PL temporary labor.
12. Ensure compliance within the department including labor laws and Health and Safety compliance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in logistics management, business management or related fields would be an asset.
2. 2+ years of leadership experience.
3. 5+ years of experience in working with 3PL.
4. Highly motivated, energetic and capable to address issues with a strong sense of urgency.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to report and recommend solutions to challenges.
6. Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
7. Proficiency in computer software (Microsoft Word and Excel).
