SF Recruitment have an exciting opportunity recruiting for a Temporary Day Shift Manager for their client based in Nottingham. As the Day shift Manager you will be responsible for full leadership for assigned production areas. This is a Temporary role that could potentially lead to a permanent position. This is working Monday-Thursday 7am - 4pm finishing at 2pm on Fridays. Must have flexibility for overtime when required.
Ideally you will need to have 3 years experience in a Manufacturing Managers role. You will be overseeing 3 - 15 Employees.
Main Responsibilities:
Co-operate with the Company in ensuring all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed. Instruct staff in safe methods of work and ensure compliance with general housekeeping and safe systems of work.
Ensure production is running at full potential and is free flowing, dealing appropriately with interruptions in work tasks. Make efficient decisions regarding material and machinery issues - Liaising with both General Managers to ensure information is transparent between each sites.
Set priorities, plan, co-ordinate and motivate team to achieve targets set out in the Production Plans.
Follow quality standards set and monitor rejects as required and ensure accurately recorded.
Provide day to day supervision of staff. Observe and evaluate staff performance daily. Liaise with HR Manager.
Communicate with Shop Floor workers on a daily basis.
Efficiently communicate shift handover information, between Day Shift and Night Shift.
Work efficiently and manage our staff over all departments as required to meet production and workload targets.
Able to read and understand production plans and specifications.
Work in a busy fast paced environment.
Health and safety compliant.
Work to manufacturing standards.
Ensure self and staff always comply with Company procedures and policies.
