Our client, a large distribution company who provide fulfilment services to customers worldwide, are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for either of their three shifts - 0600-1400, 0830-1630 and 1400-2200 on a full time temporary to permanent basis! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic company!
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be required to carry out various duties which include:
- Planning workload on a daily basis
- Forward planning for the busy peak periods throughout the year
- Carrying out improvement and review on company processes
- Managing KPIs
- Working closely with other departments
- Supporting and implementing health and safety procedures and protocols
- Managing and allocating the shifts for staff
- Internal and external stakeholder engagement
You will also require the following experience for the Warehouse Supervisor position:
- Managerial experience from within a warehouse or similar
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced operational environment
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar WMS
- Strong level of MS Excel training/experience
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
- Transport planning experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge of imports and exports would be an advantage
- Daily workload planning experience
- Desire to improve and create efficient processes
The three shifts available are either 0600-1400, 0830-1630 or 1400-2200 Monday to Fridays. You will need to be flexible to provide supervisory cover on any of the other shifts when needed to cover sickness and holidays.
The hourly pay for this role is £14.00 per hour, paid weekly in arrears. Company benefits include once you become permanent with the company include:
