Job summary

As a Warehouse Manager you will manage and lead the Warehouse First Line Management team to supervise all warehouse functions, processes and activities, focusing on maximizing utilization, labour and resources.

You will be part of our Distribution Center (DC) team, working with different customers and products that are part of Newell Brands group. You will have 3 direct reports and indirectly ca. 80 FTE who work in 3-shift system. During peak time the warehouse team can reach 150 people.

Your responsibilities will also include managing the flow of freight, materials and finished goods between warehouse, other operational teams and customers, ensuring that all transactions are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach and manage Warehouse First Line Management team
  • Foster and encourage an employee engagement culture within the workplace
  • Collaborate with DC management team and colleagues to develop an effective, proactive team who achieve DC objectives
  • Work with the operational team to establish goals, priorities and develop action plans for achieving them
  • Maintain WMS system (PKMS) and work order system to ensure that material issues are delivered in a timely manner and that proper follow-through is complete.
  • Ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance KPI’s to increase the company’s overall targets
  • Plan the labour capacity for current and future workload, including daily contact with Temp Labour Agencies and organise required resources
  • Ensure adherence to all company standards, policies and procedures, including, operational processes, people management processes and H&S
  • Drive issue resolution on ad-hoc basis
  • Support projects and DC opportunities for continuous improvement, including efficiency, cost and productivity improvements
  • Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project warehouse status
  • Inspect warehouse/materials processes for completeness and thoroughness
  • Prepare reports and interpret operational data for compliance
  • Assess employee development needs using the Performance Management & Development Processes, ensuring coaching and training where required
  • Check and maintain time attendance system, report daily workload, KPI’s and labour activities


Minimum qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in managing a warehouse with large teams across multiple shifts
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Good command of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

Preferred qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to teach and mentor others
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization in a multicultural environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter, flexible, with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Knowledge of SAP and PKMS would be a plus
