About the role

As the Warehouse controller, you will play a key role supervising our the day-to-day operations of our warehouse team, ensuring customer expectations are fulfilled through fast and effective turnaround of orders and contributing to ensuring quality and continuity of all warehouse processes.

Reporting to the Warehouse Assistant Manager, you key tasks will include;

· Direct the team to ensure the requirements set by management and the Customer Services team are met. Allocating work and rotating tasks.

· Be visible, conducting regular sweeps of the warehouse throughout the day, ensuring efficiency of work and that health and safety guidance is being followed.

· Monitor staff performance and highlight any training requirements.

· Ensure warehouse transfers, pack breakdowns, product splits, re-stocking etc are done accurately and in a timely manner.

· Hold morning meetings to ensure information is shared, training given and work allocated and understood.

· Oversee Export, Key account, Booking in and EU shipments and plan to ensure these are delivered accurately and in a timely manner.

· Become a key holder and have the ability to run out of hours shifts, as and when required.

You will lead by example, setting the standards required by the team.

Your Skills and Experience

Ideally, you will have/be;

· Experience in warehouse team leadership

· Knowledge and experience of using warehouse packages and MS Office.

· Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations and staff.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Knowledge or experience of shipping overseas, and the customs/paperwork requirements would be beneficial.

Salary: Up to £28,000.00 per year
